The Bitcoin Civil War Simplified As A Story

Once upon a time, there was a very poplar public toilet called BitToilet. It is free and open to all; it doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor, you can use it. Nobody knew who the original gatekeeper of BitToilet was, but the responsibility was passed to Gavin. He was a nice guy and everyone continues to have equal access to the toilet.

Gavin started to feel that 1 person is not enough to take care of this popular toilet so he invited more gatekeepers in to help maintain the toilet. These new group of gatekeepers called themselves BlockToiletTeam. They saw an opportunity in gatekeeping such a popular toilet and wanted to ransom money from the public. Anyone opposed to toilet access equality was kicked out, including the original gatekeeper Gavin.

As BitToilet got more popular, there was toilet paper shortages and people starts visiting other toilets like EthToilet or RaiToilet. A minority group of early users of BitToilet realize this and starts asking for more toilet paper to cope with the usage. BlockToiletTeam insulted those who asked for more toilet paper, claiming this will lead to clogging up the toilet, arguing that having more toilet paper would lead to centralization of toilets, and any other bullshit the public will eat up without questioning, afterall BlockToiletTeam knows best right?

Turns out, BlockToiletTeam had a plan all along to ransom money from the public by making sure there are toilet paper shortages so that they can sell poor quality Tissue Papers to milk money from the users of BitToilet. And the only way to force users to buy such poor quality Tissue Paper is to ensure the users don’t have a choice. They don’t have toilet paper and their ass really needs something to wipe!

In the meantime, as the toilet paper shortages continue to worsen, people started bidding up higher and higher prices just to get something to wipe their ass. Not surprisingly, BitToilet started losing marketshare and people starts visiting other toilets.

A minority group of people was so upset by such immoral unethical behaviors that they have decided enough is enough. They duplicated BitToilet by following the original gatekeeper’s vision (which was the reason why the Toilet was so popular in the first place) and called it BitToiletForAll. It is just like the original toilet, except now it has enough toilet paper for everyone and there is no need to spend additional money to buy Tissue Paper. Everyone has equal access to the toilet, rich or poor and there is no need to go into a bidding war just to get some toilet paper.

It would be great if the story ends here. Instead, BlockToiletTeam decided to scream more bullshit like toilet centralization, etc. Why would BlockToiletTeam spend all that effort to scream at people who wants a better toilet experience instead of fixing their own toilet problems is something only they know.

BitToilet is just like the broken Bitcoin Segwit giving bad user experience and only affordable to the rich. BitToiletForAll is Bitcoin Cash, providing equal access to all, rich or poor. If you are like us, disgusted by such inequality and unethical immoral behaviors, join Bitcoin Cash and fight against the oppression. We may not win but we will at least put up a good fight.
